Michael S. Fanning

Special Advisor, AIA, LEED AP

Michael had such a diverse range of interests and talents as a young man that he could have easily been drawn into a different profession. Because his high school offered very advanced programming courses, especially for the 1970s, he had decided to pursue that as a career.

Then a friend showed him an issue of Architectural Record that showcased the best residential projects of the year. He was so impressed, he changed his career path immediately and never looked back. Now a Mosaic partner with more than 30 years of experience, he focuses on designing education facilities and community buildings.

Mike has a passion for sustainable design, daylighting and creating places that inspire people to learn and grow.

Mike is on the Board of the Susan Odell Taylor School in Troy, NY, he serves as Chairman for the Facilities Committee and Co-chairman for the Expansion Committee that is planning for the growth of the school to include seventh and eighth grades.
