Principal Theresa Moroukian Retiring at the End of the Year

After more than three decades with Mosaic Associates Architects, Principal and Director of Finance and Human Resources Theresa Moroukian will retire at the end of 2026.

When Theresa joined the firm in 1992, she never imagined it would become the career it has been. Over the next 34 years, she helped shape Mosaic’s financial operations, human resources practices and organizational growth. She also became Mosaic’s first non-licensed principal and owner, opening the door for future non-licensed professionals to pursue leadership opportunities.

“Theresa has had a profound impact on Mosaic,” said Mosaic Principal Callie L. Gaspary. “She helped build the foundation of how our firm operates today.”

“It started as an accounting position, but through hard work, dedication and people who believed in me, it became so much more,” Theresa explained. “I’m proud and grateful for the journey.”

As she begins her next chapter, including plenty of time on the golf course, Theresa is excited about Mosaic’s future. “We have the right people in the right seats, and I think they’re going to do great things!”

Thank you, Theresa, for your leadership, friendship and extraordinary contributions to Mosaic.

Mosaic Associates Ranked #3 Largest Architecture Firm in the Capital Region

Mosaic Associates Architects is proud to announce that the firm has been ranked the #3 largest architecture firm in New York’s Capital Region by the Albany Business Review.

The recognition reflects a remarkable year for the Troy-based firm, which reported $11.5 million in Capital Region architectural billings in 2025. What makes this achievement especially meaningful is that every dollar of that work was dedicated to creating innovative learning environments that support students, educators, and communities throughout the region. Notable projects underway in 2025 include the Shenendehowa Early Learning Center, Troy High School Tech Wing, Saratoga Springs Legacy Project, and Skidmore College Jonsson Tower Renovations.

Our talented team of 40, from our office in downtown Troy, NY, is committed to designing inspiring, student-centered learning environments that help shape the future of education across the Capital Region and beyond.
