Matthew Gaspary

Principal; AIA

Matt Gaspary, AIA, a Principal with Mosaic Associates, served as an intern with us in 2001. He joined the firm in 2002 when he graduated from college. He is known for his highly collaborative design approach and passion for technical excellence.

Matt has devoted his career to the design of learning environments. He serves as Principal-in-Charge of several of the firm’s largest and longest standing clients, including the Saratoga Springs City School District, Enlarged City School District of Troy, and Glens Falls City School District. He was also a key member of the Mosaic team that designed the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills (CAMS) Building at Hudson Valley Community College.

An approachable leader and mentor to all, Matt leads the firm’s construction documents quality efforts and is deeply committed to staff development. He heads Mosaic’s internal professional development initiative, Mosaic U, and hosts monthly “Tech Talks” on topics ranging from completing work plans to roof detailing, helping to support the growth of emerging professionals within the firm.

A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with bachelor’s degrees in Architecture and Building Sciences, Gaspary is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is also a graduate of the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Institute.

Active in the community, Gaspary volunteers with the City Mission of Schenectady’s Weekend Backpack Program, participates in Mosaic’s CANstruction team, and supports local youth sports organizations as a volunteer. Matt and his wife, Mosaic Principal Callie Gaspary, reside in Niskayuna, New York and stay actively involved in the sports and activities of their sons: Ty, Sam, and Axl.
